FAQs - IMMUNO-CARE

Celt Immuno-Care® helps modulate immune function through T-cells, reduces inflammatory markers (such as IL-6) and supports the cellular function from oxidative stress and damage. Celt Immuno-Care reduces allergies by dampening down basophil, eosinophils and mast cells. These are the cells that release histamine, causing the typical 'allergic reaction' such as runny nose, itchy eyes, and in some people achy joints and flu like symptoms.

A study done in the US showed that Celt Immuno-Care provided a powerful antioxidant protection at the cellular level. This is important as people with various immune related issues tend to show oxidative stress. It is important to try to repair this in order to maintain healthy cells.*

Celt Immuno-Care® should not be taken by organ or tissue transplant recipients, including bone marrow and corneal transplants recipients, or if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Always consult a healthcare professional if you are taking other drugs or herbal supplements, including blood thinning medications. Keep out of the reach of children.*

Milk and other dairy products can block the absorption of plant sterols, they are very similar to cholesterol in structure and compete for cellular receptors. Taking Celt Immuno-Care® first thing in the morning and then waiting 30 minutes before eating will help make the plant sterols more active.*

Absorption is a crucial aspect to consider when evaluating supplements. Delayed release works by presenting a surface that is stable at the highly acidic pH found in the stomach, but breaks down rapidly at a less acidic (relatively more basic) pH.

For example, capsules will not dissolve in the acidic juices of the stomach (pH ~3), but they will in the alkaline (pH 7-9) environment present in the small intestine. Although delayed release is a common technology employed with expensive pharmaceutical medications, it is rarely seen in the nutritional supplement industry.

Some experts believe that (in non-enteric coated products) the bioavailability of supplements (i.e. all the contents) is only 10-15% due to damage from gastric juices and enzymes in the stomach.*
